Ever since reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula at a tender and impressionable 12 years of life on our planet, Cathi has been in love with the Dark Prince. Pursuing her passion to become the Dark Princess, she watched every Dracula film and read every vampire book she could find. Not an easy task when you live in the middle of nowhere (in this case Bloemfontein, South Africa) during the pre-digital age. Yet she managed to become the slightly weird person she is today. It is from this basis that she shares her darkest subconscious wishes, dreams and fears with you, the lucky reader. On a more “normal” level, Cathi feeds her own and her family’s need to eat with her morning job as proofreader and researcher. Many of her afternoons are spent teaching students the glories of the English language. She enjoys writing poetry, fiction and weird non-fiction. She lives with one husband, two sons, four dogs and nine cats, still in the middle of nowhere. Luckily the Internet can now help her escape the claws of the mundane on a daily basis.
